On our way home from Skansen we got to see Volvo Ocean Race from the boat which was a very interesting experience.

Kim visits the church where his grandfather was confirmed in 1912.

Mariefröjd

Today we visited Mariefröjd, where Kim’s grandfather Wilhelm Petrus (and also my grandfather) was born more than 100 years ago. There is not much left of the croft, only some rocks from the chimney, but we know exactly where it used to stand. The picture above shows what it looked like about 100 years ago.
